if it is:
someone who is showing as some limewire sharing thing on my itunes has a rather large collection of it and i would like to report them...anyone know if/how this is possible?

Limewire is a file-sharing site used by folks the world over. It's the same as lending someone a CD.

Unless you know the folks responsible are in S Korea, I say forget about it.

I always come across total filth on Limewire, but one just has to put up with it. This is the internet and it's unpolicable. And, frankly, that's no bad thing. The benefits of it outweigh the bad.

Rather than thinking about it, the trick is to forget about it and think about something nice. The world's a horrible place. Don't report them - it just means you're thinking about it more than you need to and making yourself unhappy.

wait but it's through my itunes through wireless internet...i'm not so sure why i get this shared music files (anyone feel free to explain)

i only get a few and am pretty sure they come from the koreans, army folk, and other people in my neighborhood...

so are you sure there's no way to figure this out?

That's so creepy. Maybe report it to your ISP, instead of the cops- I can all too easily imagine a miscommunication with the police on this one that turns slightly to very ugly for you.

I would probably just not bother because it is really hard to do it and I wouldn't want to get involved in something like that in Korea. In Canada I would report in a second, but here......police seem pretty lazy and abusive and I don't want to talk to them.
There is a hotline for the American army base to report things to like this. They may contact the person who can take action. Just a tip, I forget the number but it is on AFKN alot.

Whatever you do, do not download any of it, not even for proof or to hand it over to the authorities. Just doing that is a crime. Incidentally, how did you know it was child porn?

If he is Canadian, report it to the embassy or the RCMP. Canada has a law now that they can throw the a$$wipe in jail even if the offence was somewhere else (usually Thailand).

You can go to Limewire's board and mention on there. They will respond ASAP! I have seen others post on the same subject.

Are you sure its child pornography? I have seen some very alarmingly young looking japanese women who are only dressing in the school uniforms. They don't look old enough for porn, but they are. You should be very sure before you call in the police. When I was in Japan the T.V was filled with this type of porn....school girl porn. Yikes.

You can usually tell who's a stripper wearing a girl's uniform and when it's a young girl. Since Korean porn is such a secretive field, it's not surprising they'd have a higher amount of deviant and creepy stuff.

you can see the other person's stuff on your iTunes because when two computers are on the same network with iTunes active you can listen to the other person's music...but you can't share it or take it from them.

Most of the video files on Limewire seem to be porn of some kind, regardless of what you THINK you're downloading. I only download audio files, because it's an excellent source for music.
