Hey people, I've got a problem. I recently moved from Korea to Japan and I dragged along a desktop cpu I built in Korea with me for gaming. I bought Japanese power sockets for the monitor and the computer.
Now, the monitor works just fine, plugged in the new cord to the brick and it worked no problem. However, the computer is not working. If I turn on the power, the lights and fans flash on for a second but then cut out. What is the problem? Did my desktop get damaged in transit? Does the voltage not match? My power supply in the box says 100-120V, 60/50Hz, which seems to be what the Japanese run.
Can anyone help this poor, computerless ex-pat? |

Had the same problem/symptoms (minus moving to Japan) two weeks ago. You blew your power supply. Go buy a new one. |
