I just killed one of the nasty little insects in my kitchen. Isn't this a tad early for Korea's mogi season? I know I've never seen them here in March.

Hope this doesn't speak for things to come.

The last three years they've started in February in my apartment here on the island.

Surprisingly, I haven't seen one yet this year!

What do you mean already? The damn things never went away. I have seen them year around here in Seoul.

Korean mosquitoes are brutal!

I'd probably have some already but the big field in front of where I live that had lain around for about a year or two was finally all dug up and a building is being constructed. Noisier than usual but less mosquitoes this time.

They lived year round in the last apt building I lived in- they get around in the air ducts in the bathrooms.
I even recall reading an article once that Korean scientists had discovered a new species of year-round-living-urban-apt-dwelling mosquito.
I think it was in the Korea Times...
I suppose it could be googled.
