It doesn't seem that Robert Fisk ever writes against Iran and Hezzbollah.
Could it be because he lives in Lebanon under the protection of Hezzbollah?
Who is his real boss? |

The vast majority of western journalists live within Baghdads green belt, under the protection of the US/ Allied forces. The same logic applies, unfortunately. |

why would he need protection? Beirut isn't very dangerous these days. Safer than many urban areas here in the States. It's 2006, not 1986. |

but there are lots of journalists who are critical of the US who go and come to Iraq including a few in the green zone I bet.
anyway Fisk lives in Lebanon full time.

I wonder how Hezzbollah would react if he was writing stuff critical of them? |

I think he believes there are bigger problems and worse parties in the M.East than Hizzballah.
I'd say he doesn't write anything against Hizzballah because he doesn't want to hurt his rep. among arabs. I'm not sure which is a worse reason: fear or vanity. |
