Love this guy's music. Anybody know where I could pirate it? And I wonder if he's still around - I googled but found only Latin stuff.

Sorry, don't know where to pirate it.

He visited South Africa not that long ago and did a number of live shows.

Rodrigues is still very popular in SA and he was tracked down in the States and the gigs put together. He was sincerely grateful and vaguely surprized to be remembered so well.

Really laid back, unassuming and likeable. As I recall from an interview that he gave on tv, he does carpentry for a living, nowadays.

It's his preferred choice to lead a low-key life, if being a carpenter is that. He doesn't remotely see it as a fall from grace or some such.

I had a great cd from one of the live shows, but it was unfortunately loaned to someone.

Timeless.

Love the Rodriguez.

I managed to download quite a few Rodriguez tracks from Limewire (I mean, I would never pirate hard-to-find music, but hypothetically speaking, if I were to, I might have some luck finding it on Limewire).

Also you might be interested in checking out "The Official Rodriguez Website"

Thanks for that link, Bob. I tried limewire but couldn't snag any complete tracks. I think I might be forced to break the bank and buy a best of cd.
