Anyone have any recommendations for decent weekend accommodation in central Gyeongju? ("Decent" as in decent rooms as well as price - don't need the absolute cheapest; new love motels are also fine)

The only one I've found that looks okay so far is the Gyeongju Park Tourist Hotel.

There are three of us.

Thanks!

Just looking at the hilton's website and they have a package...

Weekday it's 115,000, inclusive of tax and s.c., w/e is 145,000.. it includes a night in a deluxe room and buffet breakfast, and various other discounts for restaurants and bars...

I think that's actually quite an OK price......

I wouldn't worry about that.. they always have offers. Remind me in May and I will check for you again.

Thanks for the offer though

I did check and for the next month and a half they are having a cherry blossom special but the prices go up about 30 000 to 140 000 on weekdays and 180 000 on weekends...

I found the Hilltop Motel to be great. Rather cheap on a weekend, about 60,000, close to the bus station, and quite spacious and nice inside, with a huge tv, computer with internet, and a bidde. I'm not sure if your parents would appreciate the vending machines in the hallways though Laughing

There's a great business hotel style place jusrt a few blocks west of the bus terminal. I forgot the name, but it's a really tall building for Gyeongju. You should be able to see the sign from there.

Thanks, Pericles77: so is Hilltop a love motel? Anyway no worries if it is, parents are not included in this trip.

I've never paid more than 45,000 won a night anywhere on the peninsula, even there.
