So I heard today that you need to graduate from a university in one of the seven 'native speaking' countries in order to get an E2.

So even if you are an american citizen - you still can't get an E2 if you have a degree from a 'foreign university'. By foreign I mean non - ozzie, nz, sa, canada, uk, ireland, us

That seems a bit harsh doesn't it ???

This one is a new one to me. I've only heard the regulation of having citizenship in one of the 7 countries. Maybe a call to the local Korean consulate/embassy would clear this up for you.
