Hello,
Has anyone had their airfare/flight paid for up front for a public school position, or did you all have to pay on your own and collect the money when you arrived?

I have not been around ESL teaching long enough to know first hand if it is true��. In the past some schools would supply tickets upfront. However, on too many occasions people (read backpackers) abused the system and would just sign up to get the free ticket and then take a walk.
Now it is almost always on a reimbursement basis only.

At my public school, I had to pay my own airfare there and they reimbursed me within the first week of my arrival.
