last I read, he was still unsigned. sorry if he has since been locked up

But, now that Belfour is all but done and the Habs got rid of Theodore, who do you see making a big push to get Luongo. Both the Leafs and Habs seem like logical choices.

If he really doesn't want to play with the Panthers, I see him going to L.A., or if Haske retires after this year, Ottawa..

Leafs have Tellqvist (sp) in net and those 2 highly rated prospects.. Keeper is probably their biggest (and only) promising position for the future.. They need help everywhere else, so their money will be spent accordingly..

As for Montreal.. It's a possibility, but with Huet and Aebischer there now I don't see it... Maybe a sign-and-trade deal involving Aebischer and someone else?

10 to 1 he re-signs with the Panthers...

They locked up Jokinen (this was one of Luongos wishes).

He will stay put.

Tellqvist, while I like him, doens't seem like he'll be able to cut it as a first string goalie. The other two are still 18/19, so they won't be ready for a while.

The Leafs would be saving 3mil with Belfour gone, they could easily let McCabe walk, and if I'm not mistaken Allison and Lindros were both one year deals, I'd bet one of them will not be back.

Luongo is a Montreal native, no? That might be incentive.

Homer, you very well could be correct.

We'll see. Should be an interesting off season.

(Yes, as a Leafs fan I'm only looking to the off season now)

As a goalie, there's no other player I'd rather see go to a contending team than Luongo.

Now, I did say contending team, so I guess that rules out the Leafs and the Habs. Twisted Evil

Will they be showing playoff games anywhere in Itaewon this year? Maybe Rocky Mtn Tavern? Will they even be open that early in the morning?
