My apartment is not on city gas. A truck drops off bottles of LPG and I think they are ripping me off.

They measure the gas in cubic meters on my bill and the cost is 2900 per cubic meter.

What is the going rate for LPG per cubic meter?

I wrote a letter to the school requesting that they look into this and I was hoping to get additional information here.

I don't know, but it costs my friend 18,000 won to fill up the portable gas heater (tank is about the size of a barbeque grill tank back home).

I don't know what the actual cost is because I don't have a receipt handy, but I can tell you it's expensive if you're dealing with a private company. They seem to be able to charge very dearly for anyone dependant on their service. I've had monthly bills of 230,000 won.
I thought they were just ripping me off, but I checked downstairs and their bill was really high too.

Needless to say, i keep the heat off unless it's absolutely necessary.

My apartment is big and shared, so the cost is split between my roommate and I.

also depends on what the gass is powering.. If the gas is for floor heating and your place is old - the pipes might be blocked and guzzling the gas.

My gas bill was 194000 won for 66 cubic meters...

194000 won / 66 m3 = 2939 won per cubic meter

What was your gas bill? So I can figure out how bad I am getting screwed over... or not.

Yep, I got the LPG kind too... totally sucks. I paid about 160,000 won per month this winter. I live in a warmer part of Korea, too. It really is expensive but if you think you're getting ripped, you can change gas service providers.
