I was reading some info on BEd's and came across a program that if you are a person of colour there might be financial help. Then I thought about this, though don't know why.

If you were really completely black, you would actually be a person of the absence of colour. And if you were truly white, you would be the most coloured person possible (as white is all the colours put together). So while "black" people are not really black and "white" people are not really white, are white people actually more "coloured" than black people (scientifically)?

Except you are not white, or a shade of white, at all. You are a peachy/pinky/apricot colour.

And a black guy is not black - s/he's brown.

Actually the opposite since we are talking about pigment and not light. With light, all colors make white and no colors black. Pigment, dye, paint, etc. is the other way round. So black is all colors combined.

As a white guy, I always found the "people of color" thing a tad offensive, since my lack of "color" sort of implies a lack of, well, just that I'm lacking I guess. It's like if a food had no flavor. "Oh, try this. It's food of flavor, not that bland flavorless food!"

A lot of Koreans are paler than white people. If a Martian came to earth, it would think that my girlfriend was white and I was pink. Pink power!

I think the closest description for us is the underside of a dead fish.

Yes, true white is the absence of color. Black is all colors. Duh.

Why don't you just come out and say it? You are against affirmative action.

Ha ha, this thread is so clever. White people aren't actually literally white! Also, why do we park on a driveway and ...

If "People of Color" is PC for blacks, Asians, American Indians, and Martians... What is PC for honkies?

"Caucasian" seems racist, or "colored," somehow! Korea's use of the word "foreigner" is weird too to describe "them" as opposed to "us" or "uri." (US Immigration's use of "alien" aint much better!)

I'm sorry, but "People of color" just seems like a term made by intellectually challenged rectums, is all.

I liked the movie "Guess who's coming to dinner?"

To quote Spencer Tracy:

"What we have here is a problem of pigmentation."
