Can anyone tell me where I can buy a pair of Levi/Evisu jeans in Seoul? Also looking to buy some sneakers, I'm a size 10 UK, where can I find western sized sneakers apart from Itaewon?

Thanks!

For a pretty good selection of sneakers check out ABC Mart. There are 2 in Myeong-dong, one in Gangnam and one in COEX. I'm sure there are other outlets, I"m just not too sure of the exact locations (Look for the yellow sign with red lettering). They have a pretty good selection of kicks, and I've never had any troubles finding my size there (UK 9).

dongdaemun. try the place with the cinema in, that's always good. (there's about 3 or 4 big buildings near the baseball stadium all with loads of trainers some of which are really good). and jeans too. never looked for evisu, not my style so can't say..

myongdong isn't as good on selection. if you want fakes do it on the internet... use something like gmarket. cheapest way to go.

ps if anyone knows where i can get some nudies (slim jims) get in touch ~~

There's an Evisu shop in the Ewha uni shopping area, and I think another in Myeong-dong.

You can buy Levis in the Miglior (sp.?) department store in Myeongdong. They are sold on level B-1 (or is it B-2?) the basement; much cheaper to buy them here than at one of those horrendously overpriced Levis chain stores.

I have to disagree about Co-Ex, I went there to shop for sneakers and it was a waste of time.

Shinsagae is nice too, but a bit on the expensive side. I bought a pair of New Balance shoes for 78,000 won.

I have been shopping for shoes lately. It used to be that you could get a deal on a pair of Nikes, for example, that were last year's model. Two years ago, I paid 30,000 won for some new Nikes (real Nikes) from ABC Mart in Kangnam. In the past year, however, ABC Mart has gone bonkers expensive.

I have been shopping Dongdaemun for shoes in the past week. Wow, some virtually identical fakes of everything there, and even the prices are the same! Shocked None of them fit me, though.. too small!

Oddly enough, I found that Itaewon has a store (I think it's the NIKE store, actually, but can't remember) with the best price on Nikes for non-Korean-sized feet. If you buy last year's semi-basic running model, you will pay as low as 50,000 I think. Stay away from the Athlete's Foot store in Itaewon, which is under McDonald's. Way overpriced.

The Athletes Foot store usually has larger sizes, and a good selection. They're all over==Gangnam, Myongdong, Dongdaemun. Best prices however are at The Nike Store in Itaewon (the one across the street from Outback). You can get a discount member card, and I've even bartered when I buy two or more pairs.
