I burned the ISO to a disc as an image file. Now, when I open the disc, there's obviously a whole host of files listed. How do I run setup for the program?

Done this before, I think, but I'm drawing a blank right now.

Looks like your computer doesn't have the "autoplay" on. If it was on it should launch the installation program automatically. But if the "autoplay" is on, it might be that there's something wrong with your CD.

(If the following sounds really stupid I'm sorry! But I have no idea how good you are with computers.)

Try to look for setup.exe or install.exe from the CD you just burned. Either of these should start the installation of... your pirated software! Razz Good luck!

Thanks. I didn't see a setup or install file. I'll keep playing with it and see what I can do.

Err ... I usually just drop it into the cd drive, boot up the computer and the BIOS takes care of the rest.

What sort of ISO is it ?

Perhaps. But long ago I reconciled with my inner nastiness and am okay with it
(it's not like its in the realm of belonging to a cult now, is it? I'm sure the Captain would agree, were he still here),
and what's more, you won't catch me in the Aeronautical Engineering Forum, asking helpful questions and trying to trouble-shoot wing-thingies and air speed stress doo-dads.

That was a good one! Very Happy Umm... is there a forum like you mentioned? Heck, I think there must be. The web is filled with even stranger things than this forum.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330135/en-us

try here.

although if there isn't an autorun.exe or autorun.inf in the ISO file, it won't autoplay anyway.

If it truly is a problem with autoplay then you can download "autofix.exe" from MS after validating windows. However, I highly doubt this is your issue. The disk that was burnt from the ISO was probably just incomplete, corrupt, fake, or not used properly.
