the IDIOT who came up with this idea one day at work needs to be shot!
for those out there who dont know..
there is a new law that has been past...
now all Apartments that are constructed are required to have a safety door incase of a fire you can kick it down and move into the nextdoors apartment to safety!
the door is at the end of the balcony the door is made out of some VERY thin gib board! like a shower door I guess..
so now if you extend your rooms to make your room bigger which is very common in korea you will have this thin shower door in the corner of your room! which on the other side buddy has the same set up!
so I go next door to buddy's house and say lets do a sound check!
OHH MY GOD!! I stood at the door on one end and my mate went to the door on the other end! and we had a conversation through the door!
I could him his FART!!! I was like OHH MY GOD!!!
I could hear him walking around hear him breathing! well of course you would the wall is 1" thick!!!and made out of paper!!!
lucky for this house! its only two houses per floor!
but what if you are in a three house per floor sit up! so you will have two of these doors at each end of your house!!!
WTF!!!!
bascially its like living with your door open ...
could you imagine if both families extended their rooms so the there were no balcony's? this would mean both bedrooms would be open with a curtain blocking off access! but sound would be open!!!
THIS IS CRAZY!!
basically you can hear the neighbour fart!! |

And yet there is no safety requirement for toxicity in building materials, nor are fire alarms mandatory. Because when the building catches fire or leaks poison, we can flee to safety next door. Wow... |
