Okay, so I plan to spend a week or two in another Asian country before I get back to the US this summer. I will have my hagwon fly me to this country, in lieu of them flying me to the US. My question is: how can I find a one-way ticket from an Asian city to Pittsburgh, PA?
I've seen websites that specialize in international flights from Manila, Kuala Lumpor, Thailand, etc., and they fly to Las Vegas, NYC, Chicago, etc., in the US, but not to Pittsburgh.
Would I have to buy a ticket to, say, NYC, and then book a ticket on the same day from NYC to Pittsburgh? This seems expensive and logistically difficult. Or is there a way to book a flight out of Asia that includes a transfer to a Pittsburgh-bound plane?
As you can see I'm clueless, but I hope it made a little sense. Any help would be really appreciated. |

My experience has been that you will pay much more for tickets for internal flights in any country. Buy your tickets to a major regional airport near your home and then go online and get an e-ticket from a small regional carrrier - they are all online nowadays.
Example: for me, LAX to PHX - about W200-300k via a Korean travel agent. About US$80 round trip from SouthWest Air online.
Another example: much more from Bangkok to Phuket - but can do it with AirAsia or NokAir for half what a Korean travel agent will charge. |
