| As the title suggests, am wondering if anyone knows what the rules are regarding carrying cash out of the country? Are there limits, etc? |

You can take as much as you like. If you carry more than USD$10,000 or equivalent in cash, travellers checks or other negotiable items then you must make a written declaration before you get through security and passport control.
Just send it home via bank wire. Safer and more secure. If you wire less than US$10,000 then there is no worry.
If you want to wire more than $10k, then you may have to show your contract and ARC as well as your passport to verify that the funds were legally obtained. (bank rules not law). |
