There's a massive swath of requirements listed on that site. I only had to bring about 3 or 4 documents when I was getting a D-8.
The barebones of what you need is here:

| I saw that and it did seem pretty simple, I was just wondering what kind of business registration certificate the korean company needs. The guy i willing to put up whatever he needs to, (like "lending" me 50K) but apparently the Korean sites aren't very helpful either. Is it that simple, just dump 50K in a Korean bank account? Cash is king after all. |

My D-8 was sponsored by the overseas parent company who had the local affiliate, so that's the different D-8 route than the $50K, self-sponsorship route. But I do know a few guys that have done that route and, yes, the $50K, self-sponsored way is more straightforward and less bureaucratic than the corporate sponsorship form of D-8s.
The corporate sponsorship way also requires a tax form that shows how much the overseas parent has staked in its Korean branch. If it's under a certain amount, then they will reject it. I can't remember the limit, but I think it was in between $250-500K. I once had a corporate D-8 app that was rejected on this clause. They were just below the limit. The only reason why Immigration was a stickler on this, was because we were dealing with a clerk who got befuddled on the process and asked his supervisor to help out, which is where things went strictly by the book.

The money has to come from outside the country, so if you borrow the money you'll need to transfer it out and bring it back in.

| Just have your sponsor or Korean contact call and inquire about the exact forms particular to your situation and then do it yourself. Otherwise, you'll be paying between $1000-2000 for an immigration consultant to do it for you, which basically amounts to gathering the documents and then going to Immigration and sitting in front of a clerk. |
