yo d00ds, I've been able to correctly display/type in korean/japanese/chinese/etc for a few years now, but the korean driver program for my korean cell phone's camera/usb cable just shows all its text as ?????????s, so it's almost impossible to figure out what to do

I really don't want to have to pirate a korean copy of windows xp just to do this, so can anyone hook me up with some tips on how to display that program correctly on my english windows?

Someone else can explain it better than I can but basically you need to change the preferred unicode language to Korean. Something like that. Yeah. Then you'll be good.

It has nothing to do with your IME package (which allows you to type in Korean on a non-Korean OS). What you want to do is go to 'start>control panel>Regional and Language Options>advanced' and there is a box for setting for matching the language version of non-unicode programs (another name for your phone's file manager). Anyways, in the dropdown box, select 'Korean'. You will then need to either restart or logoff and then login again to make the change take effect. Once the change is working, you should see no more '?????' in the place of words in that program.
