So here I am in Bundang .. two weeks since my arrival .. and my laptop turns out to be pretty damn shitty ... so the online games that I liked to play - that kept me busy during the week and quiet weekends, arent working so good. Are any of you here in Sth Korea the 'I.T' type .. that could maybe help me build a half decent computer? Cheers.

Make a quick trip to yongsan electronics market and grab what you want. White boxes starting from 400k won + monitor. Custom made while you wait.

Case = 40k
Motherboard from 65k
CPU and memory = ?? depends on how fast and how much
dvd burner from 70k
HDD from 70k
video from 15-150k
mouse and keyboard = 20k

Look around and get what you want. Lots of places to choose from.

Meh.....

The best place to buy ANY PC related stuff is DANAWA.com. If you have a korea friend help you to get around the site (basic stuff really), you will be able to get all the best prices on all the gear you need. Add to this the fact that that the deilver to your door and it cant be beat. I've been here for a while now and have built 10+ PCs that have ranged from cheap to ultra high end. Time and time again this web market has been the ultimate place to get the right gear, with out getting ripped or fcuked around with.

Take the time to check it out and put yourself together a nice gaming rig.

Good luck man.

Don't need to order from there, either. My computer guy asked me what I wanted, and...to my surprise, he checked the prices on Danawa with me. He matched the lowest prices. Saved me the cost of shipping, probably 30000won.
