anybody know a good place to find work in daegu? know any good recruiters (soo jin-esque)? know any of the bars that teachers hang out in so my friend can go to them and get information from fellow teachers? anybody working in daegu that can give a few pointers to my friend about finding some work?

in other words, any info on working in daegu will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know any recruiters, are you in the US? If you are in Daegu, you can walk from school to school, there are probably at least 15 Hagwons within a square mile here in Sung-Seo. Not to mention other parts of Daegu, like Chilgok, Downtown, Su-song, Bong-Duk-Dong that have a lot of places as well.

You will meet a lot of westerns, hagwon teachers at Gypsy Rock in Downtown. Everyone seems to know the Gypsy Rock. It is as cheesey as sneezy, but the people love it.

no, i'm not in the us. i'm in seoul. this is for a friend who wants to live in daegu.

i've been offered a job with a small school in daegu, and am wondering what those teaching there think of it? originally, i was hoping to land a position in pusan, but i'm open-minded to other cities too.....

does anyone have any words of wisdom to share with me?

Daegu is great! Big enough for many foreigners. Many places for you to shop and get western stuff. Quite a few good western resturants. And getting around Daegu is not to hard like Seoul or Pusan.
