Meet three English school directors, named Kim, I, and Jo.
Their schools are on the green line #2.
They are located at City Hall, SNU, and Gangnam, although not necessarily in that order.
Each director will hire teachers of only one hair color.
Those hair colors are blonde, brunette, and redhead, although not necessarily in that order.
Here are your clues:
1. Kim is not at City Hall and he will not hire blondes.
2. The director who hires only redheads is at City Hall.
3. The director who hires only brunettes is at Gangnam.
4. Jo is not at SNU.
Given this information, match the directors with the hair colors and the subway stops.
Once you solve the problem, you get to present us with another one.

Kim - Gangnam - brunettes
I - SNU - blonde
Jo - City Hall - redheads

Abigail's family consists of Jason, Kyle, Sarah, and Grace. They are Abigail's mother, father, younger brother, and younger sister.
Name which person is the mother, father, younger brother, and younger sister.
1. Kyle is not Abigail's mother.
2. Sarah has no brothers.
3. Grace is younger than Abigail.
4. Kyle is not Abigail's younger brother.
5. Grace likes to jog. She jogs every morning. |

Wow, that was quick; I just put that message on the board a short while ago!
Are we assuming that family members with men's names are male and family members with women's names are female?
In that case, I get:
Jason--brother
Kyle--father
Sarah--mother
Grace--sister.
Now excuse me while I write the next problem. |

Here it is:
Classes meet at 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00.
Albert, Bruce, and Charles each attend one of those classes, although not necessarily in that order.
Each of those students called the teacher a name.
Those names are babo, mongchongi, and michin nom, although not necessarily in that order.
Here are the clues:
1. The 3:00 class, Charles, and michin nom are mutually exclusive.
2. The 4:00 class, Albert, and babo are mutually exclusive.
3. The 5:00 class, Bruce, and mongchongi are mutually exclusive.
4. The 3:00 class, Albert, and mongchongi are mutually exclusive.
Match the class times, the names of the kaegujaengi's, and the epithets. |

Chris, Sam, and Judith went to the PC bang on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday they started playing computer games at 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday they started at 3:30 p.m. They kept track of the times they left the PC bang.
On Saturday they left the PC bang at: 5:25 p.m., 6:15 p.m., and 5:45 p.m.
On Sunday they left the PC bang at: 4:50 p.m., 6:10 p.m., and 6:10 p.m.
Figure out how long each person played computer games on Saturday and Sunday.
1.Sam spent less time at the PC bang on Saturday. Sam only spent 21/32 as much time on Saturday as he did on Sunday.
2.Judith was at the PC bang for two and two-third hours on Sunday.
3.Chris spent less time at the PC bang on Sunday. Chris only spent 16/17 as much time at the PC bang on Sunday as he did on Saturday. |

ãҴ!
I had to call up the Microsoft Excel program to do it, but I did it.
On Saturday, Chris left at 5:25, Sam left at 5:45, and Judith left at 6:15.
On Sunday, Chris left at 4:50, Sam left at 6:10, and Judith left at 6:10.
Now please excuse me for a moment. |

Dave, Eddy, and Frank are from the United States, Canada, and Australia, although not necessarily in that order.
Of those three nationalities, each member hates one nationality which is not his own.
Here are the clues:
1. The American does not hate Australians.
2. Dave is neither the American nor the American-hater, Eddy is neither the Canadian nor the Canadian-hater, and Frank is neither the Australian nor the Australian-hater.
3. Frank does not hate Americans.
Match each member with the subject nationality and the object nationality. |

You get one point for each correct answer and zero points for each wrong answer. The word 'answer' in the test refers to your actual answer, not some hypothetical 'best' answer. What is the highest possible score and what answers produce this score?
1. The next question with the same answer as this one is:
(A) 2 (B) 3 (C) 4 (D) 5
2. The first question with answer C is:
(A) 1 (B) 2 (C) 3 (D) 4
3. The last question with answer A is:
(A) 5 (B) 6 (C) 7 (D) 8
4. The number of questions with answer D is:
(A) 1 (B) 2 (C) 3 (D) 4
5. The answer occuring the most is: (if tied, first alphabetically)
(A) A (B) B (C) C (D) D
6. The first question with the same answer as the question following it is:
(A) 2 (B) 3 (C) 4 (D) 5
7. The answer occuring the least is: (if tied, last alphabetically)
(A) A (B) B (C) C (D) D
8. The highest possible score on this test is:
(A) 5 (B) 7 (C) 6 (D) 8 |

4 and 7 are wrong, and you must answer all the questions. Sorry, I should have mentioned that! You can do better... |

George, Harold, and Ivan are all staging a midnight run.
They were employed in Busan, Daegu, and Ulsan, although not necessarily in that order.
Here is what our three down-trodden, long-suffering martyrs have been going through:
--One of the members is fed up with all those impudent little urchins yelling "̱Դϴ!"
--Anyone with common sense ought to know better than to use sweet corn as a pizza topping. If the second member of our trio gets one more pizza with corn on it, he will throw a conniption.
--Our third member asked his director quite nicely to change the light bulb in his bathroom. And would you believe, the director actually refused to make the special trip to his apartment!
Here are the hints:
1. Cross George/Busan, Harold/Daegu, and Ivan/Ulsan off.
2. The teacher employed in Busan doesn't know a word in Korean, so when those nasty little 's laugh and point, he doesn't realize they're talking about him.
3. The foreign teachers in Ulsan have a powerful lobby in Ulsan. The City Council recently passed an ordinance setting a minimum wattage for all the light bulbs in all the foreign teachers' apartments. Moreover, they appointed a special police squad to make certain that this ordinance is strictly enforced.
4. Ivan knows at least two words in Korean. When he orders a pizza, he always remembers to say " ." So Ivan and the pizza store get along just fine.
5. On Dave's ESL Cafe, the teacher in Ulsan has written messages flaming posters who don't like kids yelling "̱Դϴ!"
Match the names, the cities, and the grievances. |
