Anyone know of any single-poled barber shops where they speak English? All I want is a trim, I'm not interested in any other services. And I sure as hell don't want a Korean style haircut. Just a little bit off the top and sides, is that too much to ask for? |

Generally speaking yes. A good haircut in bangkok is only a short flight away. |

go to the alley between poshinkak (the big bell) and popey's chicken in chongro (2 ga). go downstairs in the building directly behind popey's (through small sliding doors). there is a VERY small, old school barber shop run by three old guys; no funny business, just a cut. nice guys, and you get a sick of gum or a smoke on the way out. gotta love it. good luck. report back with your opinion, if you would. |

It's worth the trip. I got a haircut in Korea only once. The bit of curl in my thinning locks proved too much for the barber. Now I let it grow out until I get to Thai, and have it done there. If you're ever in Vientiane, there's a Lao-American hairstylist who does excellent work: shampoo, cut, blow-dry for eight bucks. |

2 words: Blue Club.
5000 Won and you get a shampoo, etc. with it. The one I've been to has English-speaking staff.
Or if you want something a bit classier...Juno. |

Blue Club as the other poster above said, only 5000 won and they don't deal in other services...however, the cutting can be a little so-so..
Abyhow, in Emart, Homeplus, etc there will be a hairdresser. Go there and you will pay about 12 000 won for a haircut |
