|
|
I have a bill phone which I managed to get by showing an E2 visa. The problem is that I used a friends E2 and his visa will be canceled and he will leave the country in a few weeks.
Does anyone know
1. whether my phone will be cut off and
2. whether there is a way to transfer the phone onto another E2 visa before the end of the contract?
The phone company is SK. |

The phone won't be cut off. They will keep the account active for up to a year after you stop paying bills before cutting service, and even then you just have to pay the back-bills and they will restart the service connection. They don't at all pay attention to your visa status and immigration doesn't make phone calls to everyone you pay bills to when you depart Incheon.
However, if you ever want to change phones, or if you damage yours and need a new one, you may have to prove that you are the "real" owner in order to do so.
Why, might I ask, don't you use your own, perfectly legal E2, F2, F4 etc. Visa, hmmmmmmm...? |

Because at the time I was waiting for the paperwork and wanted the phone right away. I would change it to my own now, but SK is not known for a lot of english speeaking reps. |
