So I'm looking around one of my first year classes and find that the homeroom teacher has a space for her 'english words of the week' and gives the kids quizzes on it during homeroom time. This teacher is a Science teacher! snaps for that. I offered her some english sayings which she's going to use as well. |

I have a lovely co teacher who collects all the kids papers in at the end of the lesson so she can review new vocab with the students in her class. |

One of my favourite teachers is the Korean Lit teacher. Her English is, on the whole, better than any of the English teachers (a really brilliant woman) and she's so eager to learn more. I gave her my schedule and told her to feel free to sit in on any class. During 'zero' block (8.20-9.10) I see the grade 2 and 3 vocational classes each once a week, and while I can get by all right teaching solo I have to stick to very simple stuff. On Wednesdays and Thursdays she usually comes along to help, and it really expands the range of explanations I can give (as opposed to my academic classes, where getting the co-teacher out of the classroom was the best move I could make). I usually recycle my middle school material for my HS vocational classes, bring a pile of it along, and if she's there then I'm not stuck sticking to the most simple, straight-forward stuff I have. Since my vocational classes are much smaller, I can also get to know the students better as she can translate questions about what they like to do, their families, etc.
