Noise Pollution Sufferers Get Up to W1.34 Million
People suffering from various kinds of noise pollution will be able to receive up to 1.34 million won ($1,400) in compensation, according to the National Environmental Dispute Resolution Commission.
According to the commission, people can apply for compensation when they are exposed to more than 70 decibels generated from construction sites and 65 decibels from roads and railways.
Additionally, residents of apartments can get compensation if they suffer from noise over 50 decibels from their neighbors,...
He added that the commission would introduce standards for compensating for obstructed views and air circulation as well as blocked sunlight.

Yeah, those guys are the worst.....I heard somewhere they are actually not supposed to be doing that jive until after 11am...oh well...one can dream...or not...
...the most exciting was the recycling truck that used to blast what sounds to me like the ole' Russian National Anthem meets the Russian Circus when I was in Sinjeongnegorie.....although annoying and horrid first thing in the morning it sure was fun to watch the whole street fill up with ajjumas scrambling and racing to catch that truck.... |

| How about the police cars that park on the corner and bark comments at drivers via PA system at 9am on Sunday morning? There was one of those near my old place. |

| Can I get some cash for my neighbours? They bring their marital dispute out into the hallway. I've called the police on them a few times, also had to kick their door in at night. |
