|
|
I have never ridden a scooter so I need some help and answers to the following questions:
1. What size motor do I need to carry my wife and I (total of 144kgs).
2. Do you need insurance to drive one?
3. Do you need a license to drive one?
4. What would be better to buy, a used or new one?
Anything else you can add would be great. Thanks guys. |

From what I've gathered, you're supposed to have a license and insurance to operate any motor vehicle in Korea, but most people don't.
For you and your wife, you should go 125cc...50cc will be too small to keep up with traffic and make it up some hills.
I would buy used if I were you...you can buy nearly new scooters for 75% or 50% of the price. |

Speaking from hard experience, buy a good lock and have something very very heavy and/or immovable to lock your scooter to at night.
I agree that used scooters are fine. Buy it as close to your home as possible. It will be easier for the dealer to pick up and repair if he doesn't have to drive half-way across the city to pick it up. |
