|

I've taught one contract in Korea. I visited China for 2 months, and came back about a month ago on a tourist visa. Since then, I've just been interviewing for / looking for jobs.
I want to stay another month (a total of 2 months) on my tourist visa and then go home before returning for my new contract (haven't yet found one).
Question: Is it safe for me to stay for 2 months on a tourist visa? I have heard some people say immigration assumed they were teaching illegally if they stayed for a while, and that they then had trouble returning on a working visa. I'd like to hang out another month to stay with a friend, but I won't if I'll have trouble coming back.
Suggestions / advice? Can I prove I'm not teaching if I have a Korean vouch for my staying at their home? What if I enroll in daytime or evening Korean classes?
Thanks for your help guys. |

Look in your passport for the date on your tourist visa stamp. That will tell you how long you can stay. Anything past that and you will start to have problems. |
