I recently doubled the size of my hard drive and am looking for some inspiration. Aside from backing up, and using it as a media library, what else could I use it for?
I know from recent threads that some of you have um, very big, drives.... but we all know it's not the size that counts, it's what you do with it.
So, the burning question (for me, on a lonely, Tuesday night) is... what do you do with yours? |

working with music takes a lot of room. one minute of 16 bit, 44.1kHz stereo wave file (CD quality, not even recording standard) costs you 10 MB. Put 24 (mono) tracks in a song and it's 120 MB already. Put the song at 3 minutes and it's at 360 MB. Add edits and such... well you get the picture! Nowadays though, most people record at at least 24 bit, which takes even MORE room!! Gets a little nuts after a while. |
