I'm trying to call a dentist in Bangkok - I dialed 66-02 plus the number with no luck.
Anyone know how to do this?

Try it without the zero infront of the 2.

I just tried that, but I get some message in Korean after I've dialed the first few numbers.

You need an international trunk to get out of Korea or use a calling card.

A calling card is prepaid, has a local number to call and then you just follow instructions.

If you are calling from a land-line dial:

002 (for dacom international trunk) or
001 (for KT trunk [most expensive choice])

then dial the country code (66) then dial the phone number.

eg. 002-66-2-xxxx-xxxx or 00388-66-2-xxxx-xxxx

If you are calling from a cell phone there are also a number of options that you can use for your international line.

002, 007, 00388 (for LG users=best rates), 001 (most expensive).
