I teach in the Seongnam/Bundang area and I thought it could be good to get the teachers of the area together to swap ideas/strategies. Teaching in public school is dramaticly different than teaching at a Hogwon. Class sizes are ridiculous and the students level range from learning the alphabet to fluent speakers. In addition working with a Korean co-teacher can be fantastic or downright painful in some instances. I was curious if other teachers in the area would like to have a venting/brainstorming session.

Let me know what you think..

Jason

How about an additional midnight run / switching contract club for all of us in Seongnam / Bundang that are being screwed over with our contracts and jobs by our current employers?

Did you mean tonight (friday)?

I could meet somewhere tonight. I finish work around 7:30-ish. I work quite close to Samsung Plaza.

I'm also looking for a place to live.... just putting that out there in case anyone knows of anything.

I'm afraid I'm busy on Friday. Maybe if we could meet up again next Wednesday night if you have time.. If you meet up tonight maybe we could have round two come next Wednesday? I was thinking an informal session where we could bring our textbooks and maybe a gem lesson we could share we each other. Make copies etc.

Seohyun station. You'll come out in/around a big department store. On one side is a Krispy Kreme and McDonald's. This side usually seems pretty busy. On the other is a KFC. This is the less-busy side with the Irish bar that I can't remember the name of.

Supposedly a lot of foreigners hang out there but I haven't tried it out yet since I usually head up to Seoul for my nights out.
