Someone posted a list of Korean slang and swear words a while back. Anyone know their whereabouts.

Do Koreans use swear words? Are you referring to the evil import from America? (See the article below)

Asian Values Sinfully Americanized?
Quote:
I am not at all a prude (more about that later). And I am certainly no saint but I am a journalist (which some might consider a sin in itself) and I am getting a little worried about Asia's rate of moral development.

Take the news from Indonesia. For the first time in the history of this secular state, that has a deeply Muslim culture, a version of Playboy Magazine is now going on sale there, though greatly modified from the sinful original available here in the U.S. The lovely ladies are mostly clothed....

Even so, we Americans have over the years been so over-exposed to lectures and serious essays about the reality of Asian values and exposed to the possibility that they may be superior to Western values....

A few years ago, someone started a thread like this but the moderators erased it.
For anyone who finds something interesting on this thread, for goodness sakes copy it quick.

Why not just say, "! ĵƮ . Ʈ ϵ . Ʈ ķũ ̿, ٺ" in a threatening tone and then take a donation of blood from them for your ink thingy? Wink

Funny thing that. I've met a number of people here who can throw a barrage of the worst words in Korean, yet can't even ask where the bathroom is.

Priorities, I guess. Confused

Just as a public service announcement -- Korean girls will not be impressed that you can swear. In fact just the opposite.

Being seen understanding the directions on how to get to the bathroom, however -- that can be gold.

Teachers should know swears so they can bring the hammer down on bad-mouthed students.

I have it! My favourite curse so far is "gaseo eomma jeojina deo meok-kko wa!" Haven't got a clue on pronunciation mind, but what a wicked insult!

That book is open beside me RIGHT NOW. That insult is my personal favorite too, and if your pronunciation is a bit wrong in just the right place, it gets 10 times dirtier. Fantastic!
