While I had one package arrive successfully by U.S. mail, another was lost. Which courier would you choose to deliver packages the most reliably and economically? (I realize that 'reliable' and 'economical' generally do not go hand-in-hand, but which option would provide me the best combination of the two?) Thanks.

Nah, he's no good. He doesn't deliver parcels containing homonyms. |

I sent a laptop to the U.S. with DHL. It cost me about 100,000w, and it got there within 36 hours, in perfect condition. Paid an extra 10,000w for insurance.
They will get return business from me. |

I have only ever used DHL to Korea. Well, that and the Royal Mail.
I have had no problems with DHL.
But, be warned. If you sending sealed transcripts they will want to open them before they seal the package and take it away.

I have used both FedEX and DHL from Canada to Korea, and FedEX was much faster, by about 2.5 days. But, DHL switches to a different company once it's in Canada, so maybe that's why. |

I used DHL for my transcripts, and contrary to popular belief they didn't open them or anything like that. They did, however, send them to 2 destinations in Chile, then to Madrid, then back to the UK, then to the States, and eventually to Seoul. Took a week instead of 7 days. But it was probably a one off as lots of people used them with no problems. Resulted in a delay in Visas etc and a nice expenses paid weekend in Osaka, so in hindsight, no complaints here. |
