Hail, all!

A girl who we did our TEFL course with in Thailand last year (wow, a year ago already) has just been contacted by 'Park English' about a job.

Before I write her back and tell her not to trust any recruiter, and do the legwork herself, does anyone have 1st or secondhand info about them?

I should mention she has a legit degree and a legit TEFL certif, but she is a Black American female, and a semi-good friend of Christina's and mine. . . so this is fairly important.

Obviously, if anyone knows a GOOD recruiter, that would be useful, as well.

Regards,

Glen

(PS - hope anyone who pokes their head in at seeing it is me posting is doing fine. We are well - I am working for a good school in Bun-dang; C is teaching @ a Uni in Suwon, and we just moved back to San-bon, but a HUGE new apt. When we get it all settled & the weather clears, we'll host a DESLC get-together-bbq over here at our place)

i went through Park English and i think they're fantastic. Niki and Cessilia are really great, and they've helped me through several problems i've had at my school. PM me if you want more details.

jmoore2k1 ~

Thanks for the reply - threads/topics like this one usually disappear in a few hours down the pipe onto the Neverland known as Page 2 . . .

i sent you along a pm, asking if you've known them for awhile, etc. , just because we all have heard stories about recruiters who are GREAT at the beginning, but then are nowhere to be seen when there is some trouble later . . .

Thanks again for your time.

Glen

PS ~ if anyone else knows anything, please say so (since it is Friday, and more people will hit the board over the weekend, bump!)

I think Park English is legit... I talked with Cesillia Park and she seems like a wonderful person - she was the first recruiter I talked with that spoke fluent English. I think she is a kyopo.

In my opinion, Park English is probably one of the best recruiting firms out there.

Cesilla did well by me. She speaks great English and was very helpful. She sent me a couple of follow-up messages after I started work. I never had any problems with the school she put me in contact with, and am now the Head Teacher (thankless job that it is).

Are you a recruiter for Park English who's trying to generate more business for the company?

Absolutely not. I have nothing to do with them. In fact, I had only come across them a couple of weeks ago and called Cesillia Park to have a chat about what was out there.

The OP asked for our opinion, I gave it to him. It doesn't make me a recruiter.

I've chatted with Cesillia Park several times and found her to be hard working, intelligent, straight-forward, helpful and honest.

I already have a job I love. I am not a recruiter, just happened to see this thread.
