Hello to all. My wife and I are in the process of getting positions at the English village in Ansan through Footprints recruiting. I was wondering if there was anyone avilable who had worked at the village and would be willing to give me a run down of how it is? It would be great to hear it from someone who has been there! Thanks. |

I lived in Ansan. It's way out in the boonies, the village even more so-45 minutes from the subway, on which it takes 2 hours to get into Seoul. |

Those type of gigs are often full out exhaustion creating positions: they work you like a dog with very few breaks. Some people I've spoken to have found them very rewarding professionally, i.e. if you have little experience, it's a great trial by fire. But you can get better pay, more vacation, less stress, and still feel you developed useful skills while working at a good hogwon.
Just remember: you're almost always there. Always. |

one of my friend's buddies works at one and i hear they get more vacation (4 weeks) compared to the usual hagwons (2 weeks).
pay might be a bit more than the standard 2.0 million as well, but you're kind of out in the middle of nowhere and you live in a dorm-like place that's very small. |
