|
|
i am looking for some new audio lessons to further my knowledge of Korean... i have tried the Pimsleur series and had decent results although everyone tells me the "imnida" form is too proper for daily conversation...
i have a small vocabulary and want to begin constructing sentences but have hit a wall with the way the verbs and nouns change from all the particles and stuff...
very technical... stuff...
anyway, thanks in advance... |

How about the "Teach Yourself Korean" series? It comes with CD and a text book. It's available in all good bookshops. |

i heartily recommend the teach yo'self series.
the only prob is the korean one has romanization. but i liked that when i was beginning.
by the end of the book, i found that i was pretty conversational.
i am also interested in anything else out there in the way of korean scripted dialogues.

I have a different experience with Teach Yourself. I showed it to my girlfriend and she started laughing because the Korean is so unnatural. It is also full of mistakes. The accents are really bad, and they don't speak like normal people.
I think you should go to the Sogang website and use it. It is free and has conversations you can listen to and it also has reading and grammar. |
