This is a thread for Christians to hope and pray together. If you aren't a Christian and want to post something other than this, please, out of respect for those here who are Christians, just click another thread.
Well friends, Good Friday has almost passed, 2006 years ago Christ died and saved us all. I truly hope that we can all celebrate His ultimate victory this Easter weekend and live with daily rememberance of what God has done for us through Christ.
If we could take some time here to pray for each other and for anyone we want to bring into the light, surely, if our hearts are true and our faith is where it should be, mountains may be moved.
I want to share this great weekend of victory with all of my family here, and with anyone who has any interest in learning more about living in the Truth, in the light and in freedom.
For all we have, we can only thank God. For all we can and will do, for evey dream realized and the ones yet to come to fruition, again, we only need to thank God and pray to Him truthfully, and He will always see our lives directed the way He sees fit. Come what may, it is His will, not ours that counts; be it in accord with our desires or not, easy of difficult, fair or rough, it is always and always will be God's perfect will. Stay with Him, and He will stay with you, come what may.
Celebrate and be thankful, friends. This is is the anniversary of the greatest gift we could ever hope to recieve.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen. |

No, not a Christian, perish the thought.
Just got sucked in by your 'colourful' avatar.
I hope you aren't promoting young children to smoke at the church you attend, because that wouldn't be very Christian like, would it...
God forbid. |

Wasn't he born 2006 years ago? How old was Christ when he was crucified? |

AD Anno Domini... Year of Our Lord (meaning years after Christ was born... though I believe many Biblical scholars now believe the calender to be off by a few years).
Regardless.... Happy Easter everyone. |

Obviously education doesn't work for all.
BUT FOR THOSE IT DOES:
Happy Easter, may you have a peace filled year and see another. |

Get an education people. I can't believe people still believe in religion. Don't you people have university degrees? What did you study? Phys. Ed.?
Read a book for goodness sake. Or look up some atheist websites.
The next time you read the bible try applying the insights of geology, anthropology, psychiatry, evolutionarty science, historical criticism...and just plain logic. Nothing in the bible stands up. I can understand people believing this stuff four hundred years ago, but not in the 21st century.
Religion is for the uneducated. Learn to think critically. |

Why dribble those comments in this thread at this time?
Ignorant (how do you know whether or not we have looked into these issues or not?) Quite possibly, hypocritical comments (unless of course you have thoroughly investigated the suggested topics from both sides of the argument and have definite proof of course). The mentioned topics are very favourable for Christianity. This is not the thread for that topic.
You are just showing how little you understand Christian people, their backgrounds, variety and lifestyles. |

I went to mass and afterwards got to enjoy a choir doing the Hallalujah Chorus with a really good pipe organ accompanying them. That's something I don't get to hear too often. Then I got to explain to my co-worker what 'figurative' and 'allegorical' mean, how Jesus was one of many virgin birth legends, how he fit into Greek influenced Pharisaical Judaism, and how Christianity became a world religion. All over a delicious lunch special at TGI Friday's. Ha ha ha - good Friday's, get it? |

This is a public forum. I'll post here if, for no other reason, to offer a public service. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Religion is intellectually lazy and dishonest, and I object to you selling such nonsense on this website. Your position is "Here's my nonsense...and no criticism please. Can't confuse the cult members with criticism.' Furthermore, it's bad 'manners' to fill people's head with rubbish.
On another point, you state that the study of the sciences, history etc..actually favors Christianity. Wow, I must have got it all wrong. Please explain. |

You post here to what? Offer a service? What service? Insulting people's religion? I hate little assholes like you, always sticking their nose where it isnt wanted. The OP wrote that this is a thread for Christians. Were you unable to comprehend that? Do you go to churches and tell people they are stupid? How about Buddhist temples?
Idiot. |
