the pathetic leafs are 6 points out of a playoff spot, with 7 games left.
A combination of points lost by the leafs or gained by teams ahead is 8.
For the good of all hockey fans the Leafs should be contracted out of the nhl
leafs sick edited for censors |

My guess is that Toronto and Vancouver will be on the outside looking in during the playoffs. |

The playoffs will definitely be good. I'm hoping to find some live games on the net.
No one's a shoe-in. Yes, the Wings are doing quite well, but they're in a crappy division. Ottawa is better.
I think the Habs are a dark horse. A healthy Philly club is a threat. Anaheim is coming on strong.
Regular season means nothing. Home ice advantage is less important than it used to be. |

Well, if we go by some of the logic on this board, you are all racists for wanting to see Toronto lose. How dare you be so vile, barabaric, and insensitive.
Seriously though, first time in 7 years we haven't gone to the playoffs. How many other Canadian teams can make the claim?? Perhaps Ottawa? Anyone else?
It still amuses me how much pleasure you non-important Canadians take in seeing Toronto do poorly. |

Best quote I heard about the Leafs and their fans 'they are like the Yankees, except they never win".
I think the reason so many Canadians despise the Leafs is because their fans (and CBC) consider them to be "Canada's team".
As far as the Leafs not making the playoffs this season, I will admit that they had a lot of injuries. But that's what happens when sign a group of older players with a history of being injured (Lindros,O'Neil , Allison).
It will be an interesting summer on the free agent market for them.
I wonder if Sundin is disappointed? My guess is no. He can now go play for Sweden in the World Hockey Championships which is more important to him than the Stanley Cup. |

I can't stand Leafs' fans as they come out of the woodwork once their team is doing well, but they quickly duck into the slime pool ,Toronto, once things go south. They haven't been to the Big Dance since 67 when there was only 6 teams in the league. It's an indication of how sad they are and how they should just stay and fester in the "Crap hole of the Universe" |

Everyone please note that the Canucks did not make the playoffs and not one derogatory word will come out of Canada's beacon of light that is Toronto.
If only the rest of the country were civilized, mature, and not reeking with envy to act the same when we fail to succeed in our endeavours. |

They still think they can make it...however they fail to look at the remaining games!
They play Ottawa saturday and Buffalo the next day...they cannot afford to lose any games until the end (3)...good bye Buds....
By comparision, Atlantal plays 3 easy teams: Bruins, Caps and Panthers...all out of the playoffs, all lower than them in the standings.
Tampa is in tough with two games with Carolina out of their remaining 3.
whats the point anyway...even if the Buds make it, they will face off vs Carolina or perhaps Ottawa...good bye mr cotter...
The buds barely managed to beat the Ilses (overtime for gods sake) and the Panthers (they won 6-5 and played horrid defense). |

No-one gloats at the Canucks missing out because every Canadian team other than Toronto are treated like afterthoughts and second class teams, no matter what the results say.
Jeez, I wonder what TSN and CBC are going to talk about now that the Leafs are out. I guess they could expand the coverage of the Jays, but their start hasn't been the best either.
;)
At least the Oilers are in. Bring on Dallas or Detroit I say!
