Okay, I'm going to do it- on vacation I'm going to have all my gear moved up here from Canada. What's the cheapest way to do this? I'm talking about a piano keyboard, a tower computer, a few boxes of books and maybe a box of clothes.
I'm looking at UPS and CanadaPost and Allied but I don't think I'm going about this the right way. Please help me shine some light on some competent reasonable shippers for heavy boxes overseas. |

You'd be crazy to use UPS, that is going to be really expensive. Use Canada Post, express post. They have a 2 week delivery that isn't too bad. You say 'up' here, but I am presuming you are in Korea anway. |

Check to see if Canada post gives a special rate for printed matter (books) lots of postal companies do. |

Yeah, I'm going on vacation soon and I'm heading home. I'm hoping to get my stuff sent over. I'm not sure why I said up, that's funny. Maybe it's the elevation.
I got a website that is offering comparative quotes but they are between Allied and International Movers. Something akin to Rolls Royce and Mercedes-Benz I imagine. Well it cost nothing to ask for a quote.
Peppermint thanks for the printed matter tip. I'll look into that. |
