Wow! I saw an ad for a school that offers a spacious apartment with a bathtub and even an OVEN!!! But, of course, you will have a roommate!!! After 2 years of having 2 roommates, which ended up being 15 different people, due to people running off, etc., I couldn't deal with this, even for a bathtub and an oven. I'd rather buy my own oven and go to a hotel just to use a bathtub than have roommates!!!

If a school requires you to live with a roommate, it probably is a good indicator that the school will be "cheap" in other areas as well.

No matter if the shared living accomodations work out or not.... Shocked

Something to consider.

A lesson I am learning this year. Confused

I think a lot of Koreans really don't get the roommate thing. Why would you want to live alone so badly?

Coo, I'd love a bath tub and then I could get my sister mail me some Lush bath bombs.

Man, I miss those things. Crying or Very sad

You can probably get those at COEX. Theres a Lush outlet as part of the Kosney at Home store.

Fun stuff sometimes, but I cant go in there. My eyes start watering and I feel my sinuses start to fill up. A cacophony of aromas

LUSH Korea has their own website.

edited to add it's not in English, though, and I'm pretty sure you'll need a Korean's number to register.

Korean employers don't seem to understand that it's not usual for people unrelated or non-intimate to live together, at least after graduation. I've turned down good jobs just for that reason. We are westerners and, yes, we're here, but we do need our own space. A happy teacher is a better teacher. So don't throw me into a 'villa' (yuk yuk) with some slob.
