Back in January I did my interview and then came back to sign the contract. I met another new co-teacher there, doing the same thing. I was too anxious to get this particular gig, so I started working almost immediately, but she wanted her vacation. She took it and returned yesterday.

She's real nervous to be working a new job, with adults for the first time, living in Seoul for the first time, so she asked for a hug. Very Happy

Probably everyone gets a little stressed when starting a new job, but with all the other changes I guess the stress can add up.

This week lots of people are starting new jobs.

Here's a hug and a 'good luck!' to anyone who feels in need of it.

PS: My co-worker is an ethnic Indian lady from South Africa and cute as a bug.

Well she probably couldn't be luckier than to have you as a co-worker in a new job teaching adults. But I'll pass all the same. The only older guy I hug is my dad if I haven't seen him for a long time or am going away for a long time. Or a drunken Korean co-worker, I guess.

I used to have this lesbian boss in Toronto. Whenever I came back from Seattle (I hesitate to call it a business trip because mostly they just seemed to send me there to drink the free pop... I rarely ever had work to do there), she would plant a kiss on my cheek. She was a slightly butcher version of Ellen Degenaris but she had the softest kisses. Ever.

Are you going to be offering a free hug for ESL teachers service?

I used to work in the brokerage industry in Toronto in a very high stress job. I worked with a stunningly beautiful chinese girl who used to ask me for hugs when she was stressed and upset. Unfortunately, she was married or I would have been all over her like "mold on cheese". Anyway, I used to milk those hugs for all they were worth. Laughing Laughing
