Your boss does not need to go with you.

When I went a couple of weeks ago, I needed the application form (at immi office) filled out with all the relevant data. My passport, my degree to show them, and the stupid "Confirmation of Degree" form from last year, plus 2 photos. It cost 10.000 and it was ready in 6 days.

I did it again last week (for the 5th time)...

You need:
A copy of the Schools registration
Your passport
2 passport style photos - there is a machine at both the Suwon and Seoul offices (not sure about any of the others).
The application form (from the counter at the immi office)
10,000 won

Sometimes (but not always) they may request a letter from the school that confirms your continued employment (especially if there is a long wait between your entry to Korea and your application) and residential address (cause most foreigners don't know their address).

It is the same at both the Suwon and Seoul immigration offices.

You've got to buy a stamp ( 10,000W) for the form, and it's best to do that before you deal with the officer. Never dealt with the Suwon office, but at Mokdong, you buy the stamps downstairs at the canteen.

It's a really good time to get the re entry permit as well, if you think you'll be travelling out side of the country this year.
