Anyone heard of it? I��ve been contracted to work with them to leave in late May, but I��m trying to make sure that it��s an actual, reputable school. I emailed back and forth with a teacher there, but is there a chance that the email might be fake as well? I just want to make sure I don��t get swindled too bad.
Also, is B-Dong a district? a good one? I��m obviously quite unfamliar with the Seoul area and all that jazz.

Finally, the teacher gave me her phone number to call, but I can��t seem to get through, and I��m not sure if ��m dialing correctly (and what time I should call if I��m on the East coast in the states).

I dialed 00-10-23xx-55xx

does that seem right? 00-10-etc?

thanks so much for the feedback and the other informative posts on the board. I hope I can verify the info on the school before my University charges me the cash to send my transcript and diploma on Monday.

Although "dongs" are neighbourhoods, I don't think that there would be one called simply "b". . . that sounds more like an apartment complex building. However, you would have to get more information on that one from the teacher you speak with.

You are dialing incorrectly, forgetting the country code for Korea, which is 82.

You need to dial whatever prefix your country requires to indicate it is an overseas call (ie/ in Canada we dial 011 first, your country may be different) then follow that with 82, and the individual phone number.

So, (011)-82-10-23xx-55xx

I taught at that school for 2 years, and currently live a stone's throw away. The B-Dong, is Bangbae-Dong, I'm assuming, in southern Seoul. Nice neighborhood. The teacher's all live in new apartments 2 subway stops away--not too bad. They pay on time, they pay national pension, they are really probably one of the better schools in Korea...That's not to say there are no problems, all schools have them, but this school isn't "as" shady as the rest.
