I'm going to be visiting my girlfriends family over the holiday period, and I think I should select some gifts out for them. Does anyone have some advice? Especially about things I *shouldn't* buy.

You should buy one of the following:

Spam giftset
Canned Tuna giftset
Box of those stupidly expensive magic oranges from Jejudo
Olive oil giftset
Box of little glass bottles of juice
Box of disgusting health tonics
Box of strawberries

If you have a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label lying around her Dad would probably appreciate it. Unless he's christian ^^

I might be wrong, but money goes off as kinda impersonal in Korea (as a gift). I could be wrong, but I don't have no one to confirm this at the moment.

i would just go with a gift set with maybe a bottle of wine, and if she has any very young siblings or cousins, a small toy might be nice.

I just ate some of them Oranges from Jeju. You know, the big ones with the giant nipple. Those were REALLY delicious.

Buy a box of those.

A nice gift set between 20,000 to 30,000 won is fine. The fact that you sent something period will win points.
