Q: ߾? (Who did it?)
A:
1) " ڰ ߾."
2) " ڰ ߴµ."
3) " ڰ ߳."
4) " ڰ ߵ."
5) " ڰ ߴ."
6) " ڰ ߴ."
All but 6) are pretty much interchangeable and likely to be translated into the same English sentence: "The woman did." Then what's the difference? Of course, small nuances. Hmmph, I don't know if I can explain them properly. So tricky..
1) ڰ ߾: just plain.
2) ڰ ߴµ: often ~µ gives you a feeling that some more statement will be followed.
3) ڰ ߳: 'let me think...hmm oh yeah the woman did, not someone else...'
4) ڰ ߵ: 'well.. a bit unexpectedly the woman did.'
5) ڰ ߴ: same as 4). 5) will be more clear since 4) can be confused with 6).
6) ڰ ߴ: sounds almost the same as 4) but has a bit different meaning. It emphasizes the fact that you didn't really see and check that she did yourself. It's the same as " ڰ ߴٰ ؿ," which means either "I heard someone saying the woman did" or "the woman said she did" depending on the context. The former is more likely. If you say " ڰ ߴٰ ϳ," then both have the same weight. Of course, to make it clear, you can put more explanatory words in the sentence.
Sorry, anyone who got a decent grammar book would explain this better than me. Maybe some people in Mith's Language Learning Cantina will give you a better explanation. |
