I have a terrible cough. I guess it is the yellow dust. Yesterday, I went to my ENT doctor and he gave me some meds but I am still coughing. I will go back to the doc tomorrow but I was wondering if you knew of a remedy I could pick up at the pharmacy today.

I have had a terrible cough for 10 days...the medicine here the doctors give out will not do much. They might relieve the symptoms for a couple of hours but other than that you will still be coughing...
My advice is just to ride it out if it isn't hurting too much.... |

scratchy and painful
or
deep and mucousy(sp?)? |

| I'm in the same situation and found that Robitussin cough drops are available in the drug stores and they at least make it a little bit more bearable. |

Head up to the underground market at Namdaemun (if you're in Seoul). The American cold meds available there are, in my experience, a lot more effective than what you'll get in a Korean pharmacy. You need rest to recover from a cough, but it's hard to sleep if you're coughing. So bring on the Nyquil.
If you do wake up coughing at night, though, warm some water and add a bunch of honey. That'll settle it down enough to get you back to sleep. |
