I have a terrible cough. I guess it is the yellow dust. Yesterday, I went to my ENT doctor and he gave me some meds but I am still coughing. I will go back to the doc tomorrow but I was wondering if you knew of a remedy I could pick up at the pharmacy today.

Thanks

I have had a terrible cough for 10 days...the medicine here the doctors give out will not do much. They might relieve the symptoms for a couple of hours but other than that you will still be coughing...

My advice is just to ride it out if it isn't hurting too much....

I'm in the same situation and found that Robitussin cough drops are available in the drug stores and they at least make it a little bit more bearable.

Head up to the underground market at Namdaemun (if you're in Seoul). The American cold meds available there are, in my experience, a lot more effective than what you'll get in a Korean pharmacy. You need rest to recover from a cough, but it's hard to sleep if you're coughing. So bring on the Nyquil.

If you do wake up coughing at night, though, warm some water and add a bunch of honey. That'll settle it down enough to get you back to sleep.
