It took a week for me. A travel agent did it. Cost 60,000 I think. (2004)
www.mekongesl.com is mainly about Vietnam.
(just looked at that site.... strange!.... it has been "hacked" and has some weird message on it) |

I am fairly sure you can get one in a day or two if you are willing to pay a premium. That was the case when I got mine in Bangkok. For another 30 or 50 U.S. (I don't quite remember) you could get one the next day. Why not call your travel agent, or the Vietnam consul's office?
I hope you get to go- it is a great trip!
And, for what it is worth- I prefer Viet Nam in the summer over the winter- it's not much hotter, there is rain to keep things fresher, and the light is much better for photos. |
