sorry for the repetition here, trying to sift thru the huge piles of crap to find a decent job, now my brain is fried and I'm very confused.
I have a job offer which i thought all sounded good, until the contract....can you tell me if this sounds normal and reasonable in a contract
1. with-holding first 10days pay until completion of 12mth contract
2. no figures mentioned for tax/pension deductions
3. paid at half-rate for training period of approx 1wk
4. 2.5hrs/day unpaid office/prep time including phone calls, talking to parents etc
5. severance pay paid 50% on completion of contract, 50% paid electronically later after paying severance tax!
should i just run for the hills?

As fast as you can!
It's a teacher's market now and a recruiting nightmare. Surely you can do much better. |
