Even if you don't have one, what would you want? What kind of animal person are you?

All animals--but right now it's 2 cats and an aquarium full of fish--a dog would tie us down too much and bringing it along while visiting friends/relatives isn't always appreciated, especially if it's a big dog.
We'd love to have one though--to keep the cats honest Wink

You need an option for "all."

I love animals period (arachnids excepted). I have a dog & a cat. If had more space I'd have more of each. If Toni wouldn't eat them, I'd probably have a mouse or hamster, or maybe even some fish.

My dream is to someday own some acreage in the Western US where I can have a couple of horses, several large dogs (I hate rat dogs almost as much as I hate arachnids), cats & maybe a goat or something.

Speaking of such.. did anyone see "Dreamer"? Nice flick & made me remember how much I'd love to have a horse. Cool

I don't know exactly. My girlfriend sometimes calls me an animal, but she refuses to say which one. Maybe she knows, but anyway she seems quite content to keep me in the dark about that. Oh well, whatever keeps her happy. Wink

Otter. They spend their lives playing and sliding. And I, by nature, am a lazy, unambitious, git, so that sounds appealing.

I second that. My family raises standardbred racing horses back in Canada. My dream is to move home someday....buy a farm...and do the same. They are wonderful animals. Fast, powerful, intelligent and loyal.....they don't give you the sycophantic love like a dog does. I dig that.

The reason mammals are most popular is because mammals are the animals which most like to get stroked.
The reason affectionate humans stroke each other and affectionate dogs and cats lick each other is because they are inspecting for lice.

Of course, it has been a million years since our body hair was thick enough for lice to hide in, but our inner brains don't know that.

Bear, obviously (ursus_rex username),... aspiring to be a grizzly, but most often characterized as a teddy.
