medicine for chest/throat ailments. Specifically, if possible, DayNurse or NightNurse, Beechhams Lemsip or equivalent. Where?

If western medicines unavailable, GOOD korean alternatives. My fiancee has had a sore throat and chesty cough for daaayyysssss now and the dodgy medicines she keeps on receiving from pharmacies are not working.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you tried the Red Door? They won't have the exact brands you're lookign for, but they'll probably have decent stuff from the States.

It's in Itaewon, about 300m down down that side street near BK. It's on the left hand side, and there's no red door, just a red window frame. There's a mint green building just across the street, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding it.

Ratslash, I think you'll have to write home and ask for a relief package of Lemsip. That's on the very top of my "Don't Forget To Bring" mental sticky whenever I'm home. I always stuff boxes & boxes of it into the small outer pockets of my luggage, my parents always give me the same 'Do you really get sick that often in Korea?' look, and I always have to remind them, 'They don't sell it in Korea'. You can also take lemon tea along with an aspirin, but make sure it's Bayer. Because Bayer Works Wonders.

I'm guessing I can find decent painkillers in Itaewon? Smile I usually get them sent from home so I have never looked before, but now I only have two left.
Now, I like to think I have a high tolerance for pain, but I had major dental work done today and I'm not feeling too happy. And apparently this pain is going to be around for a week or so.

At the moment I am using champagne to mask the pain. It's not working as well as I had hoped. Sad

Ok mate, red door actually has a bit, but if you want the f'ing pharmacy, go to Namdaemun. Look for gate 1( I think) and you'll see a door with a happy face on it. GO down and you will find every western good you want at cheap prices.
