I've been invited to a wedding this sunday, my coteacher just told me to give the people money, but thats so unoriginal. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to get.

I barely know the guy getting married so I dont wanna spend a fortune but at the same time I want the gift to be nice.

Thanks

If you barely know the groom, W20000 in an envelope would be appropriate.

yep money it is traditional and beleive me appreciated.

30 or 50k would be fine. Not 40,000 as 4 is bad luck.

Don't expect thank you cards either.

Is one of them foriegn?
Do you know him well?
No, then your coworker is correct and give them money. It will be appreciated.
Here's how it works, get an envelope and put the money in it. If you want to, write some sort of wish on it and your name. When you get there, go to some guys at a table. They'll have a book (the registry) and sign your name and give them the money.
You probably won't see the bride and groom until they enter the ceremony and you won't be able to talk to them until the dinner when they walk around thanking people.

exactly like everyone else said. give them 30,000. no present. Koreans do not give wedding presents, only money. and i wouldnt give 50,000 unless they are close friends.

their weddings are interesting, like a wedding factory. you will be a bit surprised. its amazing they pay 20,000,000 for that...
